Through Chestnut Ridge Church, where my husband and I were married, I found our guitarist and keyboardist for the wedding ceremony. Rich, the guitarist, mentioned that they had a band that played receptions. I wasn't sure about hiring a live band, and the main singer of the group invited us to come hear them at a local festival. Well, that sealed the deal. After they played my dad's favorite song he turned to me and said, "We're getting that band!" 

Among the multitude of decisions a bride-to-be has to make, this was the best one I made throughout the entire wedding planning process. They made planning the reception a breeze. Receptions events - bridal party entrance, cutting of the cake, first dances - flowed seamlessly. Their list of songs is endless and they even learned NEW songs just for MY wedding! The packed dance floor and smiles on my guests faces prove that Under Shelter is the best choice for an amazing wedding reception!

We booked Under Shelter in July 2010. They did a great job performing at our post-destination wedding celebration. They were easy to work with and put forth the extra effort to play songs that were not initially on their play list. The quality of music was excellent, just as it sounds on the website. This past Sat (8/28/10) was my 50th birthday. My husband thought about a cook-out, but I said heck no, cook outs are fun, but I want to dance. I heard Under Shelter at a fundraiser and again at the Mon County talent show and I knew that if we were going to have a party we just had to have them. I contacted them with very short notice and they were so kind and easy to work with on every level. I love to dance and this band has everything you need to have a good dancing time. Talent, an incredible song selection and the willingness to work with you to make sure you get what you want from a live band. There is nothing better. My friends and I had the the time of our lives and now they want to book them again to have another party. I love this band and you will too. DJ's are fine, but there is nothing quite like hearing the music live. It justs gets in your soul and makes everyone want to dance. I know one thing for sure, my 50th birthday party was one we will all be talking about for a long time and it had everything to do with the performance of Under Shelter.
